Hy 1941G506, Welcome, I believe that is a Chevrolet (Timken) double reduction two speed, correct for the period, hope that helps

Hy 1941G506, as we don't know what the original application was there is no way to tell how it is equipped until we take it apart for an inspection

Is your intention to source the correct rear axle for your G506, or simply replace the wheel cylinders in the axle you currently have?? Originals are available, including via ebay... just search for 'Chevy G506 axle'.

Most older two speeds are slow and slower ratios, so it might be useful to look for a newer two speed that fits your bolt pattern. Ed

'54 GMC 630 w/ 503 gasser, 5 speed, ex fire truck, shortened WB 4', install 8' bed. '55 GMC 370 w/270, 420 4 speed, grain, dump bed truck from ND. Works OK.
