I have a six volt one wire alternator connected directly to the battery. My ammeter does not work now. From the diagram that I have in my shop manual, it looks like the power came out of the regulator and was split to go to both the ammeter ant the ignition switch. What is the proper way to connect the alternator to the system and get the ammeter to work. When I get this to happen, I will then install a volt meter so I can have both. A diagram and small words would be the best help. This is on my never ending 216 rebuild for my 52 One ton..
Thanks
