For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2016 Posts: 114 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2016 Posts: 114 | I have been trying to reassemble my truck for some time now, and last night it rewarded me for my hard work. A line on the hydraulic throwout bearing came loose, and I suspect brake fluid got to the bearing. My attempts at repacking were fruitless, which makes me wonder; is the bearing now bad, can it be replaced, or is the entire unit now dead? The internet has so far proven useless, anyone here have any suggestions? | | | | | Joined: Apr 2016 Posts: 1,042 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2016 Posts: 1,042 | i'm confused. Throwout bearing for trans? They are supposed to have fluid in them. What are you repacking?
Old enough to know better, too young to resist.
