Hi , I'm trying to figure out where two short but strong springs go on fenders ? They are about 1 inch dia. and 1 1/4 long. The bag they came out of also contains a four inch carriage bolt and washers to go on top of springs . One spring per side. I also have two stiffeners that look like they may reinforce the fender internal supports on the radiator shroud. Any ideas?

From the spring description given it’s likely these are part of the radiator mounting assembly. There aren’t any springs on the fenders. However, if these springs and radiator assembly are incorrectly assembled, the fender and hood fit will not align correctly. There have have many discussions here in the Stovebolt along with photos regarding these springs and related assembly. If you draw a blank in searching, let me know by sending a PM with your email address and I will reply with a photo attachment showing the assembly sequence.
