There was one "medium bed" in 3/4 ton GM trucks (most/all years). There were two specs for 1950 3/4 ton truck rear axles:standard: 4.57 optional: 5.14 | | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,878 . | | . Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,878 | As far as I know (considering all years) the 5.14 is lowest gear, slowest. 4.10 is highest, fastest gear.
Although, there are occasionally rumors of aftermarket 3.73 gears at one time being available, I've yet to see any, not even a picture. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 1,775 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 1,775 | I found this link. It shows 3.90 and 4.10 available for the HO72. For what it's worth, you wouldn't see a real difference on the road with the two. Not to mention, I've never heard of anyone claiming to have a 3.90 set. I think the original poster means: "Original rear-end gear-sets available from the factory."?
We do not know the year. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2015 Posts: 406 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Oct 2015 Posts: 406 | My 62 c 30 came with a 5:38 ratio, I researched this on line and learned that they are out there but rare.
