Where is the best location to install a Fulton visor dog bone on door jamb on my 46 Chevy 1/2 ton pu. I tried on the upper front edge jamb and dog bone fits well but visor sits too low on window. Tried putting dog bone further back at curve of jamb but two legs on bone doesn't fit curve of jam. Does any one have a Fulton visors installed on there truck that can give me some advise?

There were two types of dog bone brackets. The Fulton I bought & mounted on my '38 has the brackets that sit too low apparently the same ones you have. The brackets are malleable aluminum so we were able to make them work. I don't have pictures on this computer and the other computer is off for the day. I'll post some pictures tomorrow if no one else has.

Nothing lasts forever. The two pages I had linked with Fulton mounting instructions are now dead. I'll post what images I have showing how mine is mounted.

Just installed a Fulton 800 series on my '49 3100 1/2 ton. You will have to measure and re-measure, bend and re-bend , mallet them with a small nylon or soft brass hammer to get then to fit the contour of the door frame correctly, without the edge of the door rubbing. Take your time, BE PATIENT swear, curse and hold your tongue right and you will get them to fit. Installation instructions also help.

The correct brackets for the body style have the upper dogbone "leg" about half way so that the visor sits higher. The brackets made for your body style are on the right.
