My 1951 Chevy 4400 has all new brake lines and wheel cylinders.
Question: Is there an off-the-shelf master cylinder/booster combination available that would allow me to go to dual system braking with minimum re-configuring? All I've inquired about are said to be too small for the 4400.
Thanks for info.

Hy David C. Baker, welcome, the stock master cylinder bore for your truck is 1 1/4", I wouldn't use a master cylinder with a bore smaller than that. A lot of the systems available use master cylinders designed for disc/disc braking systems, so additional residual pressure valves would be required for a drum/drum braking system, hope that helps.

I did my 52 4400 with a G30 chevy truck master off Rockauto and used a universal vacuum Booster. Mounting was a snap, by using a universal mount bracket and fabricated (4 )9x 3/4" did. stand offs. The standoffs were for building in clearance for the e brake. Let me tell you, once the brakes were bleed, the truck stops better than new.
