I'm getting ready to change out my 6 lug front drums to a 5 lug disc and was wondering if anyone had recommendations for conversion kits? The prices seem to be all over the place and I don't see a significant difference in what you get. Currently I have been looking at kits without a master cylinder just so I can compare apples to apples.

Appreciate any insight into this.

Thank you

I guess you are changing to five lug because of wheel availability?

I think I used the CCP kit without a master cylinder. Whatever you decide to go with, be sure to check the steering stops on both sides with the steering wheel turned to the max in each direction- my caliper brackets were hitting my steering stops, and after I clearance them, the first thing that hit a stop was my brake hose fitting at the caliper as it contacted the king pin boss.

I got my under the floor power master cylinder from Performance On Line (POL) and everything works very well with my stock brake and clutch pedals- it bolted right in. I am considering going to a remote reservoir, however, the idea of just clamping on a cover with two fittings to that "Corvette style" master cylinder looks kinda hinky and I can't really see it sealing very well, but perhaps I am wrong.

Any reason why that m/c booster kit wouldn't work in a 3/4 ton? Are you running a stock clutch setup?

I just finished the CCP conversion kit with 6 bolt roller bearing hubs on a 50’ 1/2t. The instructions mention the power master cylinder will not work with the stock manual clutch setup. I found no problem with the clutch or brake pedal. I am wondering if they meant to say three manual trans linkage ? I did install a 90* speedometer cable adapter to avoid a sharp bend in the cable. My truck has a 4 speed top shifter so shift linkage was not a concern.

I drilled another hole the exact same size as the stock hole to access the master cylinder fluid fill. Ordered another stock size rubber plug.
