I've been looking through the forums and am amazed at the information available. Thanks for the ad. I am working toward making a 61 Chevy C-10 long bed step side a daily driver. Figure to work the mechanical before worrying about the cosmetics although the bench seat is a little rough riding with the plywood shored up with pool noodles. In time. To date, I've replaced the starter, radiator, heater core, and had the front end gone over. Was having problems shifting (three on the tree) and turned out to be a transmission mount broken. Working fine now. Enjoying the truck, enjoying seeing what others are doing!

Welcome, several fellow Bolters in your area, be sure to watch for them. We have a specific sub-forum for 60-66 trucks so please check in there too. Be sure to ask questions in the appropriate forum. Good to have you on board.🛠

Welcome Cathy, you're right, lots of info here. So you're driving it and fixing it up as you go? Good approach because you won't lose interest that way. Good luck with it!

Thanks! I was just reading someone's post about the generator lube requirements - made me nervous! Going to give mine a look real soon. I was able to find a Chevy Shop manuals plus the sup. for the 61. Just needing a few nice days to get out and tinker.

Just trying out this photobucket stuff - with luck I can post a picture or two.

You posted it correctly, Cathy, but, unfortunately, a few seconds after your nice image displays, Photobucket takes over our screen with ads and you photo disappears.

I think some people have found a way around this.
