Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Dec 2017 Posts: 51 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Dec 2017 Posts: 51 | here is what I had to do after many phone calls and a couple trips to local dmv . need a bill of sale , hand writin affidavit wrote in first person . what you purchased tear make model date purchased and how much . free and clear from sellers name and address you also want to list car id , color , milage . affidavit must be signed and norterized by you and seller. go to local dmv get form for visual insp. notary or officer can do. this is what I had to do got title yesterday. if you are in tampa/st. pete area try this local state dmv 813-612-7110 hope this helps | | | | | Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 80 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 80 | Florida has "upped their game" in the title registration area. Back in the '90's, when I transferred the title from the seller to myself, a policy officer came to my home and verified the "vin" number on the current title matched the "vin" or in my case the engine ID number.
There are a few bolters in the Tampa/St. Pete area. Keep your eyes open and you may see them pop into the forums on occasion.
