My 1951 GMC did not come to me with an engine. I found an old one, had it rebuilt and it's now ready to mount into the frame. So here is the questions... Is there a hardware specifications manual anywhere that I can determine what bolts are required to mount my rebuilt 228 to the front and two side mounts? I'm ready to go but don't know what size grade 8's to use. Your help would be greatly appreciated!

What ever fits in the holes..........memory ( which is not always reliable) thinks they are 3/8” on the rear frame mounts and captive 7/16” carriage bolts on the stock front frame mount. The front had lock type nuts as well again on memory.

Here's the parts manual/catalog, engine mounting is covered in first few pages of the engine section

Oops, that's the Chevy parts catalog, but should be same or similar enough for the GMC engine mounting.
