For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 4 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 4 | I have a 46 Chev 3/4 ton that my grandfather bought new in 1946 in Roseau, MN I bought the lever and extension at at junkyard, but they are too long. I was told I have a 1 ton rear end(8 bolt). It is 12" brakes. I need to know how long the lever and extension should be for the emergency brake. My lever is about 8.25 and extension is about 7.75. I plan to cut the lever and extension and weld back, unless someone has the emergency brake pieces. I also need the emergency / parking brake lever and rod that goes to the rear end.
Thanks for you time. Awesome site.
