The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Paint and Body Shop Hood lace??

I've got a '46 Panel and I just got the hood lace/weatherstrips and clips for it now, How do I put it on :confused: . I have two long pieces and two short. Does the grove in the rubber go up or down? And How do I attach the clips to hold it? :confused: And I don't think the clips would go over the top of it, to me they would scratch the paint under the hood. I checked Brads page but nothing there shows it. I'm kinda like that commerical on TV "Somebody help me"

I may/may not be able to help. My wind lace is woven cloth, no rubber. I don't believe rubber was invented whn they made my car. Anyway the grove goes UP on my wind lace. The clips have screw holes in the center and have contours. The inside of the clips match the "top side" of the wind lace. the clips do not interfere with hood closure.
