Does anyone know which hose clamps were used on the 1959 Chevrolet six engines?
I have seen mostly screw type replacements. I was wondering if anyone has an original truck with
the factory supplied hoses or clamps?

thanks, 59 shortfleet

there is a picture in the factory assembly manual (section 6, sheet 19.00) that shows a crossed-wire clamp on both ends of the upper hose and the bottom of the lower hose. The top of the lower hose has a band clamp which is tightened with a bolt on the side.

Hello tom,

Thank you for the picture and the comment on the two styles of hose clamps.
I had not thought to look in the 55-59 assembly manual.
