I have a1966 chevy truck. I'm thinking of taking out the vent window and replacing with one piece of glass. I think it would be easy as it is flat glass. Just wondering if anybody has done this ? Would love to see any pictures. The window would be cool if it was one piece. It would be that's a 66 truck but what is different ..

I talked to someone who supplies the glass from the west coast one time about doing this. I kept the vent windows for some reason or the other. I did get an interesting tip along the way though. If you do this you need to lengthen the lower glass channel that the bottom half of the window fits in so that it has support on the front part of the glass. You would probably have to make a channel to add to the old channel.

I talked to a vendor at a car show /swap meet last summer who supplies the window kits to do this. He also had power windows available. All designed and ready to install. If I remember correctly it was a couple hundred dollars for both doors.

I don't remember the vendors name and don't have his calling card handy. I'm sure I will see him again at same car show again in June if you're still interested then and want me to get info at that time.

Or I could dig thru my stack of papers and see if I could find his calling card. (might take awhile!)
