Anyone attempt to rebuild their shocks? Also do front and rear work different. Rear seem to have resistance in both directions while front appear as only single action.
Stan--I bought the ME262 from Jim Carter and rebuilt mine.My shocks were ok, the rubber bushings were worn out, and one link needed some welding. Work fine now, but my 49 has a different design from 46--Bill
Make sure you heed the warning in the shop manual that says to never put the shock absorber body in a vice as the slightest clamping will put the cylinder out of round. Don't ask how I know.
