What is the hood on this truck? Note the different curve near the cab that doesn't follow the line of the cowl. Is it off a big truck? Why would they go ahead and paint it when it doesn't fit?

Hy Jay Zed, yes I believe that is a large truck hood, if the hood comes to a point at the point of the cowl fender junction then it is a large truck hood, the hoods for the smaller trucks are rounded rather than pointed at that point, hope that helps.

Its a 54 bed, 54 front fender(s),47-53 grill, and cab with the side cowl vent.
The hood is from a big bolt.
By the way they taped off the front food emblem,, and mismashed all the parts together, thats one humdinger of a body/ paint shop.

I'd say the more apt saying is trying to put lipstick on a pig. grin

The correct procedure is fit first, paint later.

If you're smart enough to take it apart, you darn well better be smart enough to put it back together.
