He was fine getting in at school but got his knee getting out at home. Took the opportunity to school him a bit on the differences after ‘62.ðŸ›

I have been around you and you are a tall guy.
I'm 6'2 and some vehicles, I have to have a system to get in and drive them.
With evolution, people are getting taller.
Old and new vehicles are designed for the general height of folks in those days.
The new "2000" 3/4 ton I bought new, came with running boards, to help get in and out of the cab.
They were off within two weeks. I did not use them and they were in the way.
So they are in the barn, still new, with a lot of dust.
Wife did not like it and I will not quote here, about what I said to her, if she cannot climb in the truck anymore.
AD's are the same way, running boards are useless, to long legged folks.

I had several friends who would constantly hit their knees while getting in/out of the truck. They always complained about it, but didn't mind getting a ride cause they didn't have a car. I, at 6'1" and 195, never had a problem. The one who complained the most was about 5'9" and about 155. It wasn't about size, it was about not looking or being aware.
