My 1955 series 2 has a Cream Medium interior paint with a black dash top. The outside paint is a light blue. From the factory What other exterior colors went with the cream interior? That's assuming this was the factory color. I am initially looking at a darker blue than it is, but could go with some other original color except juniper green.

LeeP,

This information from the 55-2nd Specifications Manual is no help?

This 1956 paint sheet says these colors are mostly "repeats" from 1955 (Task Force).

I have a 55-2nd Salesman Truck Data Book that might have interior color information. I'll and post any info here.

Good luck,

Thanks tclederman
Seems every color board has different colors and they rarely mention 1955 truck. Looking at those, I could have a beige color inside. It doesn't look like a repaint and the sheet I have only mentions Cream Medium or Yukon Yellow for 1955. That's my choices so far for the color that mine is.

I have three different 1955-2nd Task Force Truck Data Books. In the paint chips sections, the exterior color names (but not necessarily the actual "colors"/hues) changed a little between April 2 1955 and August 22 1955 and November 15 1955.

Interior paint chips/names are not provided. I'll look in the cab/interior section of the books.

De Luxe Cab Compartment/interior - Havana Beige is specifically listed
I cannot find the name of the standard interior cab color (might be Bombay Ivory as used on the exterior?)

Cream Medium is listed as an exterior color.

In 1956, Bombay Ivory was gone - replaced by Arabian Ivory

From your post. I was also looking for the interior color. If its not the cream because its listed as an exterior color according to your post.

I do not know what was the interior color for standard cabs.
It is not listed in any of the three different 1955 Task Force Truck Data Books that I have.

The only named/listed interior color was for the De Luxe Cab Compartment/Interior RPO (Regular Production Option).

Ok, so lets try this. In the pictures above, what colors do you think they are? I am looking for the original color blue that would be darker than the one shown if there is one. I am pretty sure that the outside of the truck has been painted, and now not so sure the interior hasn't been painted.

the Havana Beige in Leep photo is just like my 55 one ton. It was easy to match at the local hardware store.
I just brushed it on quite wet and it flowed out well. About 20% of the interior did not need painting and I defy you to
find the new fresh rather than the 62 year old paint.

This is why there is confusion on my part, the colors mentioned and the charts available do not mach up to the colors mentioned for 1955 in most cases.

These are terrible quality chips.

Crystal Blue is lighter.

I'll look on my 1955 Truck Data Books tomorrow - please send me a PM, if I forget to reply.
