Building a bead roller and need to get a feel for the speed of the powered feed roller.
My angle drive runs from 0 to 4,000 and is reversible. So I need any info on the speed
of your powered bead roller, it's motor and the pulley or sprocket reduction or gear reduction.
I just know someone out there has an Eastwood, or Mittler Bros or Bailey roller.

I did a quick google search and found this video showing a pulley arrangement on a diy powered bead roller (there are a bunch more on YT). I would think that you will need a variable speed control. In my search I saw mention of treadmill motors, sewing machine motors and a few surpluscenter gear drive motors.

Worked it out over night Sim. Had an old original Bridgeport X-axis power drive I've been
keeping for a few decades. 1/2 hp, variable speed from 0 to 145 rpm and reversible. Set
it up on the bench this afternoon and checked it out using a Central Electric foot switch.
Works as good as Lazzie's bead rollers. Found an assortment box of Lovejoy flexible
couplings I picked up at a garage sale many years ago and I'm going to direct drive it
to the lower shaft. Also gonna make up a set of adapters for the business end of the
shafts so I can fine tune the center lines of the rollers.

Hung the gear motor when I was thinking about using a chain drive. Now I'm gonna
go direct with the coupling.
