Hello, I just recently purchased a 1958 Viking fire truck. It has a pto driven pump, hose reels, ladder, etc. It is my plan to remove the fire equipment and add a rollback body. I don't want to scrap any part of the fire equipment. I would like to know if any one could suggest a good place to advertise this body and related equipment. Thanks, Rich
The body is a Century out of St Louis. There is a wood ladder that came with the truck. The axe and suction hoses were missing. The electric hose reels are still on both sides. Two fire extinguishers are still on the back corners. The pump is pto driven located under the tank. Along the running boards down each side of the truck are a few misc. connectors that I assume were for firehose nozzles to store on. I will attempt to post some pics as soon as I can. I am currently attempting to figure out how to post pics. Rich
I think Mike is right. There are enough fire bolt guys on this site to sell related equipment. I also comb craigslist looking for fire equipment. Looking forward to seeing some pictures.
I wonder how many fire bolters are with us. Pictures, we need pictures!

Put your pictures on a photo hosting web site like Photobucket. Then post the address link of your picture here so we'll be able to open the link and see your pictures.
if you still have fire equipment to get rid of shoot me a pm or email me at nightster88@gmail.com I just got a 48 chevy and need a ladder and things to outfit it with
I also took the body off of a pumper. it was made by AL. It is sitting in the back field. all of the equipment is piled up. I just hate to scrap it. check out the link below and let me know if you see anything you need. the only thing I plan to keep is the siren. if you think it is junk let me know and I will feel better about scrapping it.
Look for the directions on how to post pictures in the column on the left side of this page (bottom picture/link).
I tried to make it as easy/painless as possible, so let's see those pictures!

having removed a bed like that it is not an easy task. the bed laying in my back field looks just like that one. I guess I will have to get a torch and go to work.
Save all of the small misc emblems and bolt on pieces that could be used by others restoring a truck. The chances of finding someone who wants the heavy iron or service body will be slim.
See if SPAMFFA (sp) has a local chapter in your area (they are the fire truck club guys).
Here is my fire truck, and when I find a rollback body it goes. Let me know if you can use anything. I noticed the running board brackets still attached to your frame Gene. Did you cut them from the body or were they bolted?
