Just finished installing one side of the cab windlace and the top rear corner angle looks terrible. I figure there must be a trick/method to make the rubber conform to the curve but can’t find anything about that. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, how did you correct it?

The rubber is securely in the channel thru the curve but is “wadded” up at the corner.

I have posted the pictures for 5ptstar in regards to the above question.

It appears to me you have not pulled tight enough going in (probably a re-try in order). The lower retainer can be used for this purpose to hold it tight at the bottom while you pull it around. Once satisfied with the fit remove the retainer to secure both. Depending on temperature you can also carefully use a heat gun to help the corner fit. There hopefully will be others who chime in with suggestions.

This is the best picture I have of mine for reference.

There was a post a while back about the colored windlace being made from a material of a different density than the black windlace, and it wasn't possible to fix it.
If you are not able to get it to lay right, at least it will take your attention away from the headliner gaps caused by cardboard shrinkage later on. smile
