There are several others shown on the internet but they all appear the same. The mount attaches to the bucket with two adjusting screws and a spring. On the original, there are two holes that the spring can clip into to. On the replacement, there is an open notch. Has anyone replaced their mounts and encountered this problem. The adjusting spring is directly in the center of this open slot. Joined: Apr 2002 Posts: 2,168 | You might have to drill a couple holes. Or do what I did, send them back and find some originals from a wrecker, an old farmer, neighbor. That's a serious problem with many of the reproduction parts. They're close but no cigar. I had to build complete new rear tail light mounts for my truck because the reproductions weren't even close. It is frustrating but could you imagine trying to restore a studebaker or a Hudson! Yeesh. | | |
