saw an ad for old car parts and so I went by, ended up with quite a bit of stuff including some AD short running boards, but I bought this cowl support and upper rad cover and am unsure of the year and also what the brace thing is at about the middle, it looks like it has a cutout to go around the air cleaner.

I thought 1940 truck but it doesnt exactly match the pictures I have seen.

The radiator support rod shown also has the bracket bolted on used to mount Town and country horns. It looks like it might fit up to early ‘47 Chevy Trucks.

must be what these horns are for then. thanks

anyone can check in on the radiator cover piece, I am leaning towards 1939 because its identical to a 1940 except one less bend.

The mounting bracket for the horns on the support rod do not look like my 39's. Mine does not have an indent for the air cleaner, it is straight across. When used on a truck the bar has an extension at the end the car did not. In 1939 the accessory horn was referred to as City Country Horns. 1940 as Town Country Horns. The chrome piece is for an instrument cluster for a 1955-56 Chevrolet.

I can eliminate 38, as that sheet metal piece the rods are attached to looks nothing like mine.
