I have recently installed the two barrel from Langdon's. I also got the HEI distributor and the adaptor for the air cleaner that makes it all look some what original.
It runs noticeably better.

What carb is that, ///do you have a picture of the air cleaner adapter?

I don't have a picture of the adaptor.

I got the same carburetor, air cleaner adapter & HEI from Tom Langdon a couple of months ago. My truck has never run so well & good prices, too.

As you all can see from my picture, I have used flex tube for the fuel and vacuum lines. One of the guys at the Stovebolt Reunion did a class on bending and flaring metal tubing which got me thinking about doing that on my truck. Have any of you done that? I'm thinking it would make it look pretty cool......

For one of you who's running a single 32/36...what carb did it replace?

I guess the second barrel operates as a secondary? Is it activated by the throttle linkage or some other signal?

Flaring tubing is very rewarding. I would not attempt a stainless steel line unless you have invested in an extremely expensive, high quality flaring tool. The new nickel-copper brake line that is available looks nice and is easy to bend and flare.
Flared carb lines

I have one of those carbs that I was thinking about installing on my 261 but wondered if the carb would be large enough for that engine. I have a Rochester 2 bbl on it now and performs well. Use the truck for pulling a 2000lb camper. Any ideas whether this Weber carb would be an improvement or not. Dave

I replaced a Rochester B on my 261. I swapped the original 4.11 rear end in my '53 3100 with a 3.55 & the truck rolls along beautifully at 70 mph.
