I have a Load master engine from a 4000 -6000 truck it is a 1956 235 chev engine in my truck and was wondering what , if anything is the written on the valve covers. I can not find any where what the writing looks like or what it says. Hope some one can take some pictures and send them to me and post them here. My email is [email protected] Thanks Gerry

Hy trihawker, there may not have been anything written on the valve cover at all. The only script I have seen on valve covers for the six cylinder engines is the word Chevrolet in written form on the valve covers of car engines.

the one in my 55 2-ton (6400) has the "Chevrolet" on the valve cover. I have no idea if it is original or not. I have not even looked at the engine serial #. The shape the truck was in when I got it though, makes me think it very well may be the original engine.
