Does anyone know if there are many or any similar parts from a 47 and 54 chevy 3100? I know there are lots of differences but I think there are some similarities also. I am still trying to piece my 54 back together. I still need a few parts but today I found an ad for a 47 3100 within a couple miles of my house. It looks to be a rolling frame with a cab, hood and front fenders. If the running boards fit and are in good enough shape to use on my 54 It would be enough to justify the purchase price. 2 Reproduction boards would be more expensive than this whole truck. I am trying to stay as original as possible on my 54. I as hoping to find a 47-53 3100 as my next project. I plan to fix that one up with a 350 auto and modern brakes and some upgrades. So any unused parts would be a good start to my next project.

Thanks for any comments
