Someone crammed it into the cab of a C-50 and bent up the valve cover, oil pan, rocker arms and oil breather filler. I thought the salvage the head and pulled it off and noticed the pistons were not rusted up. While pulling the fly wheel I found that the engine turns over. I have no idea why it was turned in as scrap. I was wondering if it would worth my trouble to buy the motor and the head? Just seem a waste of a block if nothing is wrong with it. '54 GMC 630 w/ 503 gasser, 5 speed, ex fire truck, shortened WB 4', install 8' bed.
'55 GMC 370 w/270, 420 4 speed, grain, dump bed truck from ND. Works OK.

It is going to be interesting taking it apart. Only other time I did one was a 1924 Dodge 4 cylinder. Where would be the best place to peddle the parts? This is the first time I ever ran across a 12 volt generator.
