Hi everyone, I ran across a GMC 302 at the local scrap yard. It is not in the best shape. Someone crammed it into the cab of a C-50 and bent up the valve cover, oil pan, rocker arms and oil breather filler. I thought the salvage the head and pulled it off and noticed the pistons were not rusted up. While pulling the fly wheel I found that the engine turns over. I have no idea why it was turned in as scrap. I was wondering if it would worth my trouble to buy the motor and the head? Just seem a waste of a block if nothing is wrong with it. Let me know what you all think.
