Can someone explain the controls for the over the windshield wiper controls on my 1941 Chev 1 1/2 ton?? There are several knobs and other things that are all new to me.
I just received my retirement / late mid-life crisis project yesterday. it is a 1941 Howard Cooper open cab fire truck. As you can tell, I have a very loving and understanding wife, she even let me park it in her stall in the garage until I can make room for it in another stall.
I have and will have many questions about this truck, I am sure I will be back. Thanks

I have a 1942 1.5 ton Chevy Flatbed and the controls over the drivers side windshield are to control the windshield wiper (mine has a single wiper) The left control will turn the vacuum controlled wiper on and the right control when turned clockwise or counter clockwise will adjust the speed of the wiper. Very common for these vacuum assist wipers to fail. Check your hose from the fuel pump to the wiper control for cracks. You could also have the vacuum control rebuilt as it has a diaphragm inside that also fails over time.
