My toe board has a rectangular depression about 1.5" wide by 0.5" high about 2" below the steering column and clutch pedal. It also has 2 holes in it. Can anyone tell me what goes here?

Also, further down, near the bottom edge, is a 5" pressed "ridge", about 1/2" high. On the back side of this are two strips of metal that look like they retain something in the depression of this ridge. What is this all about?

Other wise, my build is going great. Later this week my fuel tank will be installed for the second time - it had a small accident in the tank well. All four wheels/tires are on. May have clutch/throttle linkage under control. Engine cooling may possibly be figured out. There is a chance that I can get it to the show next month in the "under construction" category, If I can find a trailer - it is about as street legal as Sean Spicer's podium.

Yes the depressed area is for a rubber cushion for the clutch pedal. The little metal strips are to hold the dimmer switch wires away from the clutch and brake pedals.
