Hello all,
Looking at a 1953 GMC 270 motor/clutch as a candidate for a '32 Chevy transplant. The motor has the bell attached but I'm not sure of the transmission mounting bolt pattern. I have a Saginaw 4 speed in the corner of the shop I could use. Would it mount up YES/NO if not, what GM 4 or 5 speed could I use?

Thanks in advance
~Boone

List of transmission bolt patterns.
Your Saginaw will have the same bolt pattern as Chev and GMC trucks that started in 1948.
The GMC engine may be a little to long for a 32.
A 235 is a doable swap, even with the stock running gear.

I know but a 270 has a whole lot more grunt power and not everybody has one.
