How does one go about removing the linkage arms from the wiper arms bearing mount? I would link to remove them so I can sand and paint them. Not sure how to do it without damaging the pins that hold it all together?

Once you remove that, the transmission (that is what GM and the vendors call them) ends should push right out. Sometimes they are snug due to the old hard grommets.

I mean the ends of the arms that connect to the part that the wiper arms connect to. This is part goes through the fire wall. It may or may not be relevant to the '50. <CLICK>

I am speaking of the other end. The end that attaches to the splined rod that the wiper arms/blades attach to. Who does one remove the arms from the rod without breaking things? | | |
