The push rods in the L6 235 are supposed to straight? Yes? I checked these by rolling them on a the windshield half that will be installed in the truck and 3 of them had a definite wobble.

I have ordered 3 replacement pushrods from a popular well known truck parts company. The first three were shipped in a padded envelope, and all 3 arrived bent, as were the 3 to replace those which arrived in a shipping tube.

These are supposed to be straight -- no wobble -- aren't they.

Yes they're supposed to be straight. If you have access to a lathe and a dial indicator it's a pretty simple operation to straighten them, but new items shouldn't require that kind of attention. Bent pushrods won't spin when the engine is running, but a slight amount of bend probably won't affect how the engine runs. However, they will have a tendency to bend further as they run for a while.

There is no problem posting the name of the supplier.

That information might help others in choosing a supplier, or, cause someone else to also try to get that supplier to be more careful - use a box and bubble-wrap.

The supplier is Jim Carter Truck Parts. I am going to call them tomorrow afternoon and explain the problem. Its looking like they got hold of a batch of mostly bent pushrods. This is a freshly rebuilt engine that has yet to be fired up and perform its camshaft break in. I need to have the lifters and pushrods spinning correctly.
