It was a RHD but the shifter was on the right side of the steering column like LHD models are so it wasn't hard to master.

I was given a brand new one of those babies and I wanted to use it in the worst way, but I bailed out because of my disdain for the complicated arrangement of parts of a 3 on the tree, not to mention making it a 5 on the tree. (actually that ambitious thought never even occurred to me).
I would like to see what you came up with to mate a column shifter to a top-loading transmission.

As far as the Tremec 3650 being too far back if I just flip it 180 degrees it will move it forward where it needs to be does't change the shift pattern. Just have to make a new shifter bar to clear the tranny and raise it up a little. Just like the idea of the column [censored] for the cool factor. Also the hydraulic throw out bearing gives me more room for exhaust.
