I will have to find my write-up on this install, but it was a breeze. Lots of help from the late Cletis, if I remember correctly. I'll also have to find my notes on where I bought them. I used his site on my install. http://devestechnet.com/Home/SeatBelts | | | | | Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 1,002 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 1,002 | I wanted to change out the seats in my 41 anyway, so I installed ones from a Tahoe that had them build in.

Took 45 minutes to install each time. The shoulder point nut is welded to a backing plate that you tape to a stick or rod and slide up from the bottom to where you have your hole drilled. Once the bolt is threaded into the nut on the backing plate pull the rod out and you're done. No need to cut or weld anything, the backing plate has rounded edges so it won't tear and pull out in a wreck. To figure out how high to mount the shoulder bolt, sit in a modern vehicle and see where it is to your shoulder...3-4" above? I mounted the floor brackets in the raised channel that's behind the seat. If memory serves me I had to reshape the bracket to fit snug in the channel, I did not cut it to fit. That's it...
