The 235 and 261 used different size carburetors! Which is it?
And granted my opinion, but why in the world would you want to downgrade from a Zenith to a Rochester?

Jon Zenith got missing who knows when. Had a Rochester on it but was trash, and no clue if it was even right for the truck. I'm not opposed to a Weber. A new Zenith is not in my budget. Where is a good place to get a carb. I got wife approval of funds and dont know where to spend my money! Thanks!

"But it says it should work" was the response I got, went back to Zenith and never looked back. I guess when they put them on in the first place. they knew what they were doing. 1955 Second Series GMC"Done - A 50 Year Journey"Follow in the DITY-- No one said it was going to be easy

The Carb Listing shows a 12 month return policy, so all i got to loose is return shipping, I guess. I just can't find anywhere that lists an exact replacement carb for a GMC 248.

Jon Maybe its not a specific listing and he has different rochester carbs for each motor and he sends you one for your truck?
