| | | | Joined: Feb 2001 Posts: 1,094 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2001 Posts: 1,094 | I am trying to determine what transmission I have, ( 700R4) the code/#'s on the the case just above the oil pan are OWCM 291A. On the bell housing it has MD 8, and on the tail shaft housing CL7119824.
I think it is from a 1990 Chevy van. Can anyone shed some more light on what it is?

What I can't figure out is what the WC (model indicator) is. I know that it came out of a full size van, and trying to determine if it would be a heavier duty version than would have been in a car.
