I got the rear of my 51 panel up on jack stands. Suspension hanging. Lower, rear hock mounts removed moved months ago.
Embarrassed to ask. Do the lower rear shock mounts go above or below the leaf spring? Duh !

1 1950 Chev 5 window pickup; 261 c.i. engine, 4 on the floor.

With lots of time and money, any Stovebolt can be restored.

Can't speak to a panel but on my '49 3100 with Delco single action shocks the brackets are under the leafs.

Agreed. Upon closer inspection, I can see the bracket has rust marks that seems to indicate that the bracket
goes below the leafs. Thanks for help.
