I have a 1942 Chevy truck and it needs the temperature sending unit repaired does anyone know who may repair them??? 1-262-392-2989 or [email protected]

Have you tested your sending unit? I see on another post that the meter is pegged after the engine overheated. Should be a way to test the unit. Maybe removing the bulb from the head and placing it in ice would be a way to try to get the needle to move. I'm sure more experienced bolters may also have some input.

HRL had a comment a while back, acetone and dry ice in the bulb to keep the ether from escaping, cut and solder a new bulb on the meter.

'55 GMC 370 w/270, 420 4 speed, grain, dump bed truck from ND. Works OK.
