My newly acquired '62 C10 stepside is going to require a new seat. The original is long gone and the one laying inside (but not bolted down) the cab is not very desirable. What later seat would fit w/o an act of congress. Keep in mind I'm a fully grown man and stand 6'2" and plan on keeping the original steering wheel. What have you fine folks used as replacements?🛠

Many use Tahoe seats with the integrated seat belts. More modern truck seats usually bolt up too. I don't have a list to give you.
Summit sells some pretty nice seats that look good and don't cost big bucks. Used seats often smell bad, need upholstery or worse. Just saying.

I still have my original seat. I'm 5'10" and find I can barely be comfortable. In fact, I modified my steering column so it's closer to the dash. My arms feel more comfortable now.
People say that removing the tank from the cab gives them a few inches more leg room, but that's only true if you get a seat that will slide back into that opening. My original seat hits the back wall and the tank isn't in the way.

Update: used the seat from a 1992 Chevy single cab. It is a 40/60 with a pull down arm rest and cutouts for the center seat belts. Sits a bit lower and the back is a little thinner. Makes it very driveable for my 6'2" 230 pound frame. It is 3/4 inch wider at the front mounting holes so I bolted in one front mount and drilled a new hole for the other side. Both rear mounting holes had to be relocated. No problem since the floor covering is all out anyway. Weld up the other holes and it's good to go.🛠

A friend of mine just came by with his '64 C10 and he had a 'new' seat in it...he said it was out of a full size '92 Chevy truck. Fit was nice, looked good too. The headrests were low enough not to obstruct the back window and it has a hidden arm rest.

Mine has no headrests but does have the hidden arm rest. Also out of a '92. Fits very well.🛠
