For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jun 2016 Posts: 182 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2016 Posts: 182 | So I dismantled the radio on my 1950 3100 to start the restoration. Thought I'd start simple by media blasting the casing. Much to my surprise it appears that the casing has a copper coating on it. Can anyone tell me what that is all about? Can I just ignore that and continue blasting and then paint when I'm done or is the copper something I need to be concerned about? | | | | | Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 9,115 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 9,115 | I think it might have had something to do with shielding. I would not worry about it, just do your blasting and painting. | | |
