What techniques have you used to accomplish this?

On a side note.... What do you guys use for thread sealer so water doesn't leak around the threads of the fittings?

It stays semi-solid and keeps the threads lubed in case you want to undo the nuts or bolts. Most of the other stuff hardens like concrete, and sometimes chips away; and can be darn near impossible to loosen. | | | | | Joined: Jun 2011 Posts: 5,096 Crusing in the Passing Lane | | Crusing in the Passing Lane Joined: Jun 2011 Posts: 5,096 | Your heater hose fittings should be threaded into the housing, pipe threads. Pipe plugs, brass or iron should fit.

Ed Agreed, this type of plug.
