Hi guys.
I have a pair of 47 & 49 Australian trucks that I picked up in 2012 that I would like some help with in regards ID & history.

I have sold the original (in truck) 216ci engine in one truck as I would like to replace the 245ci Chrysler hemi six in the other with a 265 ci unit bored out to 300ci. I did look at a 235 full oiling mod ex US but figured that for the same $ a 300ci hemi (E49+ spec) would deliver 300BHP+.

What I'm interested in is the original paint, trim rear diff and GVM (3100, 6400 etc.) and history of these trucks.

One (Blue truck 216 ci) has a Holden (Australia) compliance plate with the following:

CHASSIS CHEV161PG
MAXIMUM GROSS WEIGHT
IN POUNDS 13000

and

GENERAL MOTORS — HOLDENS LTD
CORRESPONDANCE PERTAINING TO THE BODY MUST BEAR THESE NUMBERS
STYLE No 49 — 5211B
BODY No 894
TRIM No 3 — 139
PAINT No 25371551 8X
TOP ACC 12

The other (Red Canadian import)truck has 3 plates:

One has:
Chev 137S
9000
on one tag which I assume to be 9000lb Gross weight

The balance of information on the silk screening on this tag is lost under years of paint.

The other has:

Model (blank)
Serial No. 7-1130-32189
Eng XR195992

And the last tag has:
MODEL 47-4201B COMB 2A
BODY No 773 BCH 15
COLOR LONDN TAN 253 DATE 5

I am hoping to resto rod the red truck with the 300ci hemi six mated to what I believe is a Muncie 4 speed out of the blue truck
GM 1
591665
CONV 5
3299

This is my first post and really would appreciate any help.

welcome to the site! I wish I could help you but, I don't have a clue on the older ones.
