I've got a problem with the way the hood ornament fits with the hood. The problem is that the passenger side just touches the hood ornament when I open the hood. I don't see any way to adjust it. I'm using a repop hinge (old one was junk) and repop hood ornament. Maybe that is the problem. But if there is a trick to this I'd sure be happy to hear it.

Mine did that too .

I shimmed under the front hinge where it mounts over the radiator .

Thanks Dusty. I'll give that a try. It flopped around with the old broken hinge but now with new paint....

This is what worked for me. As I mentioned, I have a replacement hinge so the hood halves are now attached to the hinge using 10-32 screws. I made a shim out of a small piece of the flat material of a scrap of fender welting and folded it over. It is about .043 thick. Took out the last screw one nearest the hood ornament and shimmed it using the welting cut and punched almost like a washer. The shim is between the hinge and hood half. Looks like it will do the job.
