So I bet most of you know better than to rebuild a carb assuming the hard parts are all right. Well we finally tracked my issue of good idle, OK revs, but stumbling and sputtering under load and as it's revving up to an improperly sized jet in the carb.
We think they jetted it down to match the motor running on 4.5 cylinders instead of fixing motor. .053" jet ran the motor fine with one dead cylinder and another making barely 50lbs. But with a fresh build it needed the spec .072" to run as it should.
And of course it "was the last thing we looked for".
