After reading the articles on serial numbers, I'm trying to figure out the "26" following the 9MS.
Anybody care to shed some light on this?
Thanks

You can put your VIN in our VIN Buster to see it. http://www.stovebolt.com/techtips/vin/vinbuster.html | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,262 Bubba - Curmudgeon | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,262 | | | | | Joined: Oct 2015 Posts: 26 Wrench Fetcher | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Oct 2015 Posts: 26 | So the document indicates the 2 numbers following the MS are the month. Does this mean that the "26" following MS are the 26th month (Feb. 1944)?

9 = Norwood, Ohio plant MS = 160" wheelbase 1.5 ton 26 = 26th month - your guess/conjecture is logical
Let's hope someone else confirms the interpretation of 26 | | |
