just curious anyone out there ever spray painted vehicle with international 990 2 part marine poly paint. the stuff dries hard and smooth on boats.
just looking for cheaper alternative than the 500 bucks
a gallon paints in alaska

If you're painting a boat, go for it.

If you're not painting a boat, then go with an automotive urethane. Either Base coat/clear coat or single stage like BASF UNO. Brand is not important but remember that there is no such thing as good, cheap paint.

Your color choice will affect cost directly. Oranges and Reds are most expensive while white, gray and black are cheapest.

fyi- the winner of last years concourse de elegance winner used all SPI primer and paint.
And it's cheaper than PPG.
