I have a pioneer under dash style radio that i would like to use in my 1/2 ton truck that has a 12Volt system......The truck has a radio delete plate so maybe it never had a radio. Anyway, I have a few questions :
In the installation book for my radio it says the red Ignition wire should have a 3 amp fuse.
It also states that the white battery wire should have a 1 amp fuse.
Do these fuse sizes seem to small to you guys ????

also...on the speakers, do I need to isolate the magnet so it does not touch the metal of the truck ??
If not, I was thinking of just letting the magnet stick to the underside of the dash....thanks...

You need to know what the two power connections are for. One may be for the main power and I think a 3 amp fuse is inadequate. You could just try a 3 amp fuse and see what happens. The other wire may be for the dial light. If the white wire is not for the dial light than it is probably supposed to be connected to a constant non switched power source. That would be used to maintain the memory which may contain presets.

I wouldn't rely on the magnet of a speaker for mounting. You would probably end up with annoying vibrations.
