Delco 10-SI, 55 to 65 amp unless you plan on powering a bunch of high current draw accessories. Anything over 75 amps is probably just for bragging rights - - - -"Mine's bigger than yours!" Most of us got over that attitude in the Jr. High school gym locker room! The ones who didn't became politicians or adult film stars, depending on whether or not they were telling the truth!

Are you rewiring anything or just switching to 12v 1 wire alternator? As for the 10-SI I'll second hotrod. I put one in my truck and even with 3 flood lights, 2 emergency lights, headlights and siren it's able to keep up.
There are posts on here about changing over, just do a search, I've also included a different sites nono 'tech tip'.
